Wind Mitigation
A wind mitigation inspection documents how the home is built to resist wind on Florida’s Uniform Mitigation Verification Inspection Form, OIR-B1-1802 (Rev. 04/26). The features it records may qualify for windstorm credits or discounts. Your insurer decides eligibility and the amount.

Questions
Will this lower my premium?
We can’t promise that. The form documents features that may qualify for credits or discounts. Your insurer decides whether they apply and how much.
Is my older wind mitigation form still valid?
Possibly. Insurers have generally accepted forms for up to five years when nothing has changed, but each carrier sets its own rules. Ask your agent.
Why do you need the attic?
Roof deck nailing and roof-to-wall connections have to be verified from inside the attic.
What does it cost?
It depends on the property and which services you combine. We confirm the price before anything is booked.
Want your wind features documented?
Have any roof permits or window product approvals handy and mention them in your request.
