Insurance inspections
4-Point, wind mitigation and roof certification.
Florida insurers often ask for one or more of these before they write or renew a policy. Book one, or combine them in a single visit.

Which one do you need?
Your insurer or agent will tell you which forms they want. Here’s how the three differ.
| Inspection | What it documents | Form | When insurers ask |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4-Point Inspection | Roof, electrical, plumbing and HVAC: type, age and condition | Your insurer’s 4-Point form | Usually older homes. Each insurer sets its own age rules. |
| Wind Mitigation | Construction features that resist wind, from roof nailing to opening protection | OIR-B1-1802 (Rev. 04/26) | To apply windstorm credits or discounts the home may qualify for. |
| Roof Certification | Roof covering, visible condition and estimated remaining life | Your insurer’s roof inspection form | Usually older roofs, based on the insurer’s age rules. |
