Roof Certification
A roof certification documents the roof’s covering, age and visible condition, with an estimate of its remaining useful life. Insurers often ask for one on older roofs.

What the form documents
Each insurer sets its own rules. Citizens, for example, currently asks shingle roofs over 25 years old and tile or metal roofs over 50 to show at least five years of remaining life. Your insurer decides what it will accept.

Questions
What if the roof doesn’t meet my insurer’s requirement?
The form records what we find. Your insurer may ask for repairs or replacement. We can re-inspect after the work.
Can you inspect a tile roof without walking it?
Often, yes. We can add a drone inspection for steep, high or fragile roofs.
What does it cost?
It depends on the property and which services you combine. We confirm the price before anything is booked.
Insurer asking about your roof?
Add a 4-Point or wind mitigation to the same visit if you need them.
